I was an owner of multiple consoles for years. In the NES, SNES and Genesis that the PlayStation, and Nintendo 64, and followed closely by Sega’s Dreamcast, I have always fun with each generation of consoles. One of my all time favorite console to date, has always been the Dreamcast. With classics like Power Stone singular and Sonic Adventure available to the system, has always had a great line of games. However, it has always been a game for Dreamcast that took me more playing time than any other game, and this was Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Following the success of Fighting games before it, as Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 1, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is a rapid and chaotic addictive game. The gameplay focuses on teams of three characters fight against other teams. The list of characters is deep, focusing on the Capcom and Marvel side of the game two worlds characters.

With 56 characters available to play as the game is intense and always unique match ups. The characters are:

Magneto spinal Omega Red Psylocke <

    Guile Jill Valentine Jin Hayato

    Ken M. Man BisonteMega

    Roll Ruby Heart Morrigan

    Sakura Ryu Servbot

    ; Sonsón

    Strider Hiryu Tron Bonne Zangief

This means a total of 28 characters on each side, which makes the list very balanced. The advantage that really came out of the new version of the game is like all the cast out is unlocked only after downloading the game. This is a great improvement compared to the Dreamcast version, which were forced to complete the arcade mode several times to gain enough points to buy “new characters, a task that was really slow and tedious. True many people simply do not overwhelm the others in the game, as the sentinel, however, enough practice, it is actually quite easy to win any source available in the game.
< , br /> ; The graphics have been improved over the Dreamcast iteration, so the more vibrant colors and animations much more fluid than they were before. The graphics do not compare to games like Battle Fantasia, Super Street Fighter IV, or BlazBlue, but remain very solid, nice and fresh. There are problems with the framerate and the game is very good to play on PlayStation 3.

The online game is now added an extra mode to the reprint of Marvel VS Capcom 2, and featurs a spectator mode that allows players to see the struggles of others. The menus have changed, and looking much better than the original hexagonal design “to the menu that the original Dreamcast had.

In general, the game looks great works great, and feels great in the PlayStation 3, adding new features like online play, and things like the subtle touches scheme. The gameplay has not changed, also relying on frantic, fast, chaotic struggle between two teams of three, where even “AI can be difficult at times to higher levels of difficulty. How this game now will definitely help put someone in mood for upcoming sequel, due in a few months. This is a must for anyone who buys it is a fighting game fans.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is one the best fighting game ever. MVC2 is quite easy to learn but difficult to master, and while it may not look as good as the latest headlines, for example BlazBlue still incredibly fun. This downloadable version is the same as the Dreamcast version a decade ago with a big change, the addition of several players. Whereas the original Dreamcast version can go for over $ 300 this is a great buy. Online play is great and is still active but beware there are plenty of experienced players, but MVC2 is a must buy for any fan of video games.

I played with when he first arrived in arcades and it was fun. I sucked, and still sort of suck, but being able to play a large cast of characters from the Marvel and Capcom was exciting in the world. This, mixed with some great game animation smooth and fast, and the price of cheese to one of the best fighters I’ve played.

I downloaded on PSN when I got my PS3 and I was a little confusing, because the code is to download the demo and code. I think you need to download the demo, and then the code opens the game for you. All the characters are there from the beginning.
The only complaint I have is that there are some issues with menu lag sometimes, but that it might be my PS3.

  4. Just bought the game today. Took a little ‘to download, but worth it. Not the best game ever, but it is a good way to spend time on a boring day. result of the whole story is the same, and the graphics are pretty good. A good character (56), half do not even know I know, but thats okay. Overall a good fighting game, but nothing special. 4 / 5.

Better than the first game, love the characters! I am a big fan of comics / Marvel fans and a currency trader original Street Fighter fan then this is the perfect marriage of experience in fighting. The only reason that did not give it a five star rating is due to sprites and graphics each time a little “outdated for today’s standards that the new Street Fighter IV or even an older title like Guilty Gear X.
